About

Ribomala is a python package developed for efficient analysis of ribosome profiling data. It has minimal set of well-maintained (as of July 2025) dependencies and is lightening fast due to the use of polars library.

Modules

Ribomala contains three modules:

• index: Indexes the transcriptome fasta
• qc: Checks for ribosome reading frame and periodicity
• analysis: Calculates E-, P- and A-site ribosome occupancy
